Hello!

I have loved making marks on paper for as long as I can remember. Graduating with a degree in film and animation led to my desire to find a narrative to my art. I found the world of art and design fascinating and spent over 15 years working as a graphic designer, which honed my ability to solve problems with pictures. My first love of painting took centre stage again after relocating to Clevedon, near Bristol from London in 2017.

Finding my voice as an artist has been both a struggle and a joy. Developing a style which makes playful use of colour and light is my main drive. I work in acrylics and oils to capture the spirit of my subjects. Using bold yet loose brushstrokes, I look to express the emotion of my paintings whether they are portraits or landscapes, giving shape and colour to things that can’t always be seen. For the past few years, my style has taken on the polar opposite, emcompassing a minimalistic style using only vertical lines and white space. I used this style as a meditative practice whilst experiencing the recent pandemic and continue to develop both techniques.

Contact me if you’re interested in commissioning a piece of art or would like to buy a print of an existing work.

Thanks for visiting!
